Welcome to the Connecticut State Referee Program Website CTReferee.net the complete resource for Soccer Referees in Connecticut 2021 CSRP Referee Symposium 2021 CSRP Referee Symposium The Connecticut State Referee Program is pleased to announce (3) Referee Symposiums for 2021. Due to COVID social distancing restrictions all three symposiums will be held virtually as outlined below. Once you have registered for a symposium you will be given access information for the “virtual session” you have chosen. Virtual Symposium for Upper-Level Referees: On March 6 at 9:00 am there will be a mini- Symposium geared toward upper-level Referees with at least 3 years of experience. Ryan Cigich, National Referee Administrator for Youth Soccer, a member of the US Soccer Referee Committee and NCAA director of Officials will be speaking on communication. FIFA Referees Tori and Chris Penso, a husband-and-wife team of MLS referees will lead a discussion on Family and Referee Life balance and will also present video clips for analysis. Tori is the first female Referee to officiate in an MLS game in 20 years. To sign up for this session, please choose the clinic from the Event Calendar "03/06/2021 – In Service – Virtual Symposium for Upper-Level Referees" Virtual Symposium for Advanced Referees: On February 27 at 9 am Mark Geiger, who has Refereed the 2012 Olympics, 2013 and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cups, and the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups (where he became the first Referee from the United States to officiate a knockout match at the World Cup), will be hosting a 90-minute virtual seminar on Game Management and Game Control for Advanced Referees. To sign up for this session, please choose the clinic from the Event Calendar "02/27/2021 – In Service – Virtual Symposium for Advanced Referees" Virtual Symposium for Grassroots Referees: On February 27, 2021 at 11 am, Connecticut State Referee Program will be hosting a 90-minute virtual mini-symposium, led by Tom Felice who is a USSF National Assistant Referee and Connecticut native. Tom will be presenting videos for analysis and a fun discussion for Grassroots level Referees and Assistant Referees. CJSA, EDP, NEP have decided to suspend activities immediately. -- As Connecticut prepares for Return to Play please keep in mind the decision to return to officiating is yours. The Referee Program does not set policy regarding back to play. Referees have to follow policies dictated by the competition. USYS Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert: USYS Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Announcement from US Youth Soccer (March 12, 2020) ALL 2020 US Youth Soccer Leagues Program and Conference activities nationwide are SUSPENDED through April 15, 2020. US Youth Soccer will be evaluating conditions on a bi-weekly basis to determine when it's appropriate to reinstate USYS activities. CSRP will communicate with all certified referees regarding any changes that might occur. Until further notice all youth games in the state are postponed. This impacted all participants who are trying to complete the Grade 8 Recertification Process. that registered and paid by the 12/5 registration deadline.
